Dr. Bruno Korgo is the Regional Coordinator of Renewable Energy Priority Research Theme (PRT-RE), based at the Wascal competence centre, Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso. He is responsible for the coordination and development of renewable energy theme and associated services according to ECOWAS countries’ needs and support the sustainable renewable energy supply strategy for West Africa, including research and development and capacity building.  

Dr. Korgo has a wealth of experience in research and administration in the energy sector in Burkina Faso. Being a senior lecturer at University, he has been Director General of Renewable Energy, member and chairman of board of the electricity utility, and focal person for several international organizations.    He holds a Master’s in Applied Physics, a Master’s in Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy and a PhD in atmospheric physics.
