West African project data validation workshop

The first virtual data validation workshop held from 7 to 27 August 2020. During this period the relevant local data needed in the project collected from the 15 member countries of ECOWAS were reviewed and validated. In his opening remark, the project coordinator, Dr. Solomon Agbo highlighted the importance of the data validation exercise pointing out that the validity and reliability of the atlas will depend in turn on the validity and reliability of the input data.  

The national teams of each country presented the data collected to the members of the regional technical committee. Upon review and careful examinations suggestions were made for improvement while also requesting that missing data be collected.
