A visit to WASCAL in Accra

The completion of the hydrogen atlas for West Africa is now drawing nearer. The development team of Forschungszentrum Jülich has participated in an exchange workshop that was hosted by the project partner, West African Science Service Centre for Climate Change and Adapted Land Use, WASCAL in Accra from 29th-31st of August 2022. The technical team from Forschungszentrum Jülich, together with the West African regional technical committee of the project, the national team leaders of all 15 ECOWAS countries and their team members have reviewed in detail the current version of the green hydrogen production atlas for the region. Data gaps have been identified and local preferences as well as feedback have been collected. These will be implemented as soon as possible. It is hoped that the final version of the atlas will be produced by the end of the year.
