Dr. Carsten Montzka, a research scientist at IBG-3 since 2007. Co-lead of the CEOS Land Product Validation (LPV) subgroup on soil moisture and alumnus of the Arab-German Young Academy on Sciences and Humanities (AGYA). Important projects: H2020 GEOEssential, , BMWi Hydrological Earth Observation and Assimilation (AssimEO), BMBF Agricultural Systems of the Future (DAKIS), ESA Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity (SMOS) Mission, NASA Soil Moisture Active and Passive (SMAP) Mission. Research Interests: hydrological remote sensing, data assimilation, hydrological modelling.
